Great new thread, Phil....I like your taste in music, although you lean a little heavily on the vocal stuff.

I have no idea how to post videos/soundtracks, but as a musician, I can recommend anything by JS Bach to introduce symmetry and logic into the chaos. :) I play some of his unaccompanied works for violin as therapy! Also Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring, for something sublime to lift the day....

Hi Zep,

Excellent idea, I will add more classical instrumental music (starting with Bach).

Tomorrow, Mark will create a special feature that will let you easily create musical posts like mine.

I will then look forward to listening to your musical posts.

Gorgeous pipe organ, especially the Toccata...try some of the Brandenburg Concertos next. :)

By 'playing Bach', I mean on the instrument, not a stereo system. Maybe one day, I'll get up the courage to video myself and post something. lol

Here is a link to a little promo site for a violin I have just bought from the US. The demonstration starts with my favourite Bach partita, then segues into various musical forms - rock, folk, country, etc. My new violin is the first one - the Viper, in the shape of a flying 'v' guitar (6 strings, frets), but green. :)

Zep,
I checked out your link. I must thank you, though somethat indirectly. Regarding the Baroque period, I connect more with the slower melodic movements in general than the IMO frenetic, multi-hamonic changes of the faster-tempo movements.

But I did notice in the rt. col. a link to Sarah Chang giving Bach's Air on a G string. Lovely! Thank you again.
