As 'mental health consumers"
Most of us know, first hand, how it is to feel off side.
With respect to all of us here, we know, how hard it can be to live with a mental illness.
Fortunately, majority of us, have medicine to balance our lives,
This boy, Lanza, was troubled, People knew it, saw it, No one knew what to do for him, no one thought he would errupt this way.
What a thin line we walk, It feels so hopeless, to force a person into treatment, who is non compliant, does nothing, or very little. it seems.
Best case scenario is the person may one day seek out help. if his or her first contact with mental health people is positive. and supported by loved ones.
Stats say all previous violent acts, were carried out by troubled teens / youth.
Why do we fail these kids? HOW CAN WE HELP, THESE PEOPLE?
It is JUST so SAD, So SAD, , so many innocent lives were taken
I find it hard to curse the gunman, as he was already cursed. already flawed,
Will good come of this? What a question.
Right now, I see nothing but grief, for Newton CT. |
