When I was severely ill I thought that David Eddings was a kind of a prophet as well as a story teller.(David Eddings is a fantasy novel writer in the mould of Tolkein but he has supplanted Tolkein to a degree and is recognised as the modern master of the genre.) He is not a prophet. He himself has said this, he is a storyteller not a prophet. I think thousands of people have, like me been spellbound by the power of his books all over the world and in mental ill health thought that he was to be be the founder of a new religion. He is not. He is however an excellent, ejoyable writer, especially the Belgariad, but his other books as well)
