The fiftieth anniversary of Stanley Milgram's famous experiment on obedience passed a few years ago (2012-The original experiments were done in 1962, the same year as the Cuban missile crisis) and I didn't see anything in the media commemoriating the event.
Some people (including Bruno Bettelheim a survivor of the Nazi Holocaust) say the experiment shouldn't have been done. What do you think?

It's a tough one but I think the experiment should have been done.
The electric shocks weren't real, but the participants didn't know that.
