I found this very interesting. I would like to print it out, so that I can look it over more carefully..especially the Bipolar areas. Thank you for this....really good information.
When we won't consider suggestions, we reject our own potential - but we have the right to expect people to be tactful.
Hey Doc, this is really interesting stuff. I have been thinking along these lines on my own for sometime and am only now I am finding that scientists have been working on and raising these sorts of theories. gotta go now but will post back later when I have some time.
I found this very informative. I understand alot more right now. What made sense to me was when you said that schizophrenia is a thought disorder not a mood disorder.
I must say that the lecture slides present mature subject matter in the sense that most of the problems of psychiatry are a thing of the past. I think that the educative aspect of psychiatry must rank second to the medicative which of course is similar to the combination of methods employed by brain-washing practitioners to treat people with any kind of "thought disorder" which has a severe effect on their ability to cope with day to day life. This was the case in soviet Russia and is common in extremist regimes. A certain amount of regulation to protect patients is necessary and is provided by the legislature and various mental health charities. There is such a thing as an abusive psychiatrist and it must be possible to police them.
