That was inspirational. Isn't is horrible to think of all the people who have died- and i wonder why? If only we could see things more clearly and listen before acting.

What I got out of the slide show as of now, is motivation to work harder in therapy so I don't stumble down the path of my parents who in the realm of our little family unit, might be described as dictators, in a certain sense.

Ugh. Sadly, up until seeing the light after being hospitalized and getting counseling, I have for most of my life, followed in the misguided footsteps of my mentally ill and untreated adult-child "parents."

I can understand then, why people who are part of an oppressive regime--(either working for the regime or the oppressed)--why such a bad regime would not be challenged. Why? I think a big reason why a horrible regime would remain in place is because people just don't know of anything different or better. The people might believe it is just "the way it is."

It's my hunch. Personally, I feel more empowered when I start learning about more and more alternatives for myself and loved ones and my personal rights and privileges.

I wonder sometimes if God talks to our leaders and tells them what He wants or needs? Then the politicians must explain it to the people. So, there are secrets that cannot be stated directly.
Or, put another way, God cannot tell us directly why we have so many wars because we do not have the foundation in wisdom yet.
War fulfills a function, which is very difficult to explain without offending people. It reviews, tests, thins, and harvests nations. It may get our anger out.

Dr. Long, thank you very much for such an informative, although heart wrenching lecture. I found myself wanting additional emoticons, however, expressing disgust, fear, horror, anger, and other negative emotions. How anyone found anything in the lecture funny is beyond me.
