We are very small, but i think all problems are relative. My problems can be huge depending on my frame of mind and on how much else is going on at the same time. But my problems are minor compared to someone else who has already overcome them in their own lives and are dealing with 'worse' problems now.

How big are we in the universe?
We are the world, just like that cheesy 80s tune with all the pop stars "We are the World...we are the future, we are the ones who make a brighter day, so let's start givinnnn'," ***gag me with a spoon***

What I'm trying to convey is that I believe the "universe" is an idea within our brains. It is as big or small as we imagine it to be. I believe we really embody the universe.

So then...how big are our problems?
Miniscule. Not!

This would make a good headache commercial.
Got a headahce the size of the Sun?
Take Pluto Aspirin, and shrink down to size.

Some of our problems feel large, some are not as large as they seem.

I don't know, guess it's all in the way we view things.

we are small but significant in our own eyes. That alone is a beautiful thing. Where are the edges of the universe? Because if the big bang theory is correct, there is an edge.. maybe.. or maybe not.. And if there is an edge, what's on the other side? or are we the other side of the edge?

I like feeling small.

I love this post. I'd never taken the time to really study the other stars that are larger than our sun. I found this post educational and a pleasure to view. Thanks!

A Newbie's insight (?): Our problems are HUGE if we cannot see beyond our blinders. We don't know the size of anything if we are mired in problems. So, unless we are "clear" (I am NOT a Scientologist here, just using the word "clear"), we cannot see beyond our own misery. This comes from my being diagnosed much later in life (denial, denial) rather than earlier (anytime IS better than never). I know that I followed a pattern decade after decade, never able to even contemplate what was outside my "world." Until I finally accepted therapy, the correct diagnosis and the right meds, my life was in total disarray. I was the exhausted, starving hunter who came in with the kill to share but still at the ready to hunt again for however long it took. I could not recognize myself in some family photos at times because that woman looked wild-eyed and mad -- I really did not know who "she" was! I can no longer work due to the decades of "hunting stress." I am Bipolar 2 with GAD. I am blessed now to be able to experience a better life with my family. My life now is not perfect as I have less of an income and am single, struggling to overcome money issues and perfectionism, but what a difference it makes to find enjoyment rather than the forever, relentless "hunting."
