 Treatment for thigh strain

I have a thigh strain after last hockey matches and am unable to move my leg a little. It made me afraid of my hockey career and decided to go for a physiotherapy treatment in Toronto for immediate healing. While browsing, I noticed that some sports specific exercises, cold therapy, compression treatment etc will be helpful for fast recovery. Can I do theses treatments along with my regular treatment? Is there any chance for re-injury?
