Hi micp1126,

Our bombing and occupation of Iraq has medically been estimated to have killed more than 655,000 Iraqis (as of 2006). This is more than 100 times as many civilian deaths that Saddam ever accomplished (and he was a terrible dictator).

As of October 2006, the war in Iraq had killed 7% of the entire male population of Iraq. Imagine what would happen to USA, Britain or Canada if our countries lost 7% of the entire male population in 3 years.

When I had my preminition dream I knew war would result and prayed that it be avoided, however I had a strong feeling that it was too late. My dream was in May 2000. With that strong feeling also came an end of world feeling. But it still goes on.

I often wondered why people would procreate if the wold seems to be nearing it's end. I became one of those people. It's an instinct. We are animal like whether we want to think so or not. It's a way to save ourselves, just like nesting when your pregnant.

We can't necessarily fight our instincts. And Bush's instinct is to fight back. He's action oriented. He's not a thinker. Ending the war now would be detrimental. It would put as high risk for attack. Once begun it must be completed. I keep thinking Russia, the Soviet Union really needs to be guarding their nuclear weapons. These are thoughts I generally keep to myself though. It's safer that way.

We're on the path, support our troops, pray for a peaceful end to this war. I was anti-war but now the risk is too great.

jetta no he's not a thinker.. he reacts before his brain does.

Saddam is dead, we (the west in the war) have killed more of his people than he ever did according to dr long, and we continue. Someday it will be us under seige because of this bt by then it will be too late to explain ourselves. Saddam was a jerk. The little children in the hospitals and schools that were bombed aren't the jerks. certainly if we mst have a sense of entitled revenge it shouldn't be on them..

i just hope innocent American kids in the military, just following orders, are not also taken up on war crimes. Because there will most certainly be trials of Nuremberg proportions in the near future.

I agree EPEA....and I would hope there ARE some of the people involved with the decisions made to be tried. They are no different than other previous war criminals. If they are spared simply because they are from the almighty west.

When we won't consider suggestions, we reject our own potential - but we have the right to expect people to be tactful.

The premonition of this nightmare happened to both my husband and me in 2000, and the nightmare continues. I have never had children because I have always felt that the world was too bad a place into which to bring children. Don't get me wrong--I cherish nature, animals, all the magnificent mountains, valleys, and deserts, and some wise and kind people, but the world is becoming more and more an unlovely, scarey place.
